Well, I decided to write my first blog as I wait for the 2009 WSOP FT to start. I have followed the tournament the whole way from start to final table, and thought I would share some of my bets I have made.
I’ve invested in Joe Cada. $100 I will get 4 to 1 if I win. Iam pretty confident in this young gun. As he seems really focused and makes the right plays. He seems like a really tight-solid poker player. Who makes the right decisions at the right time. Only disadvantage I think with him is… it is the final table and hopefully the emotions of being on the final table wont make him play to tight or not his “A” game. (Just hope he does not run card dead.)
I also invested $100 in Jeff Shulman. I get 2.5 to 1 on him.I picked him because he has been to a Final table before, and he has really played tight-solid poker this whole tournament. (Hes 4th in chips) He hasn’t ever jeopardized his stack, except with very premium hands, where he is ahead a lot or maybe flipping w/ AK. I find him very focused and hungry for this title.
If your asking why I didn’t pick Phil Ivey. I didn’t pick him because he is only 1 to 1 on money, and he is short-stacked, just didn’t see it as a good investment. Plus everyone wants to pick Ivey lol.
My 3rd pick would have been Begleiter, he is loose-aggressive and has a stack. Could be very dangerous if this guy doubles up. But I kinda like going with the medium, stacks as they can wait a little longer for the short-stacks to bust out.
Anyways the Final Table has started-
In my next blog, Iam gonna share with you some of my favorite WSOP ME videos, views and what I thought of the final table. Also what I will be blogging a lot about starting with a $200 bankroll at micro-stakes, and what you will need to do to adjust-move-up levels and become that poker player you really want to be.
