With a collection of seven WSOP (World Series of Poker) bracelets, this man does not have to demand respect. Those of us, who are avid poker enthusiasts, consider him to be one of the best comprehensive poker players in the world as it is generally accepted in poker forums and blogs. Other professionals within the poker community also regard him as a masterful player of the game.

One of his nicknames from the earlier childhood days was “No Home Jerome”, which results in the underage playing in Atlantic City with identification card that gained him entry into the poker haven.  While time progressed and age was on his side a new title emerged and he was referred to as, “The Tiger Woods of Poker”.  His first bracelet was won at the age of twenty three years old!

Once he reached this level of excellence in the game there was no looking back for Phil Ivey.  He has won bracelets not only in Texas Hold’em but also in Pot Limit Omaha, which is another demanding version of poker play. For 7 years straight beginning in 2002 he has been placed in the top 25 in every WSOP tournament. When this man sits down at a poker table, it is time to get down to business. While working as if he knew all the cards, Ivey turns the coldest cards into a big win and make those golden hands somehow rise to a platinum standing.
